Welcome to Season Two!
Season Two Description
Many years ago, Laura Acuña felt God call her to speak to women of all ages and stages. Based on her own story and life lessons, Laura shares Biblical truth on becoming spiritually mature and emotionally healthy women. In the second season of the Still Becoming Podcast, episodes will cover trust, faith, living as a Christian woman in our current culture, relationships, resilience and the importance of applying God’s Word to our lives for growth and change. The goal and prayer for every episode is that listeners will leave with a deeper understanding of God’s Word, His great love for them and that it is never too late to become the healthy, whole and beautiful women He created them to be.
Episode Fifteen: Walk in It: Shining the Light Along the Way Part One
When most of us were growing up, society was generally favorable toward people of faith. Our beliefs and deep convictions did not draw controversy in the public square, as they do today. As a result of this culture shift, we can feel overwhelmed and disoriented as we try to walk the walk of faith in a culture that is increasingly hostile to followers of Jesus. We may be tempted to hide away with other Christians or lay low and avoid the conversation, but Jesus has commissioned us to be His light in the world.

Quotes:
"I’ve read the last page of the Bible – It’s all going to turn out alright!” Billy Graham
“Shalom, the familiar Hebrew word for peace which permeates the Old Testament, does not refer to the absence of chaos, but rather to an overall deeply entrenched sense of harmony, health, and wholeness in the midst of chaos. In fact, true peace is best detected and measured against the backdrop of commotion and confusion – when instability abounds, yet you remain steadfast; when disappointment and confusion are near, yet you’re still capable of walking with spirit-infused confidence, stability and steadiness.” Priscilla Shirer, The Armor of God
"The Church’s mightiest influence is felt when she is different from the world in which she lives." A.W. Tozer
"Here's what's at stake: when Christans lose their minds, people lose their faith." Carey Nieuwhof
